Can't Connect? Switch to Google DNS

Some internet providers' DNS servers can't find our game servers, so the game fails to connect — usually with the message "Could not reach the update server". Switching your device to Google Public DNS fixes this in about a minute. It's free, nothing needs to be installed, and you can switch back any time.

Google Public DNS addresses

Private DNS hostname (Android): dns.google
IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
IPv6 (optional): 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844

🤖 Android — recommended

Android 9 or later. Works on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Network & internet and tap Private DNS.
  3. Choose Private DNS provider hostname.
  4. Type dns.google and tap Save.
  5. Close the game completely and open it again.
Where is Private DNS on my phone?
  • Samsung: Settings → Connections → More connection settings → Private DNS
  • Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO: Settings → Connection & sharing → Private DNS
  • Oppo / Realme / OnePlus: usually Settings → Connection & sharing → Private DNS
  • Can't find it? Type "Private DNS" into the search bar at the top of Settings.

🍏 iPhone / iPad

Applies to the Wi-Fi network you set it on.

  1. Open Settings → Wi-Fi.
  2. Tap the ⓘ icon next to the network you're connected to.
  3. Tap Configure DNS and choose Manual.
  4. Remove the existing servers (red minus button).
  5. Tap Add Server and enter 8.8.8.8, then add 8.8.4.4.
  6. Tap Save, then close the game completely and open it again.

iOS has no built-in DNS setting for mobile data. If the problem only happens on mobile data, play on Wi-Fi with the settings above.

📡 Home router — fixes every device at home

Open your router's settings page (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 — the address and password are often printed on a sticker under the device). Find the DNS setting (under Internet/WAN or LAN/DHCP) and enter 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Menus differ by brand; your internet provider's support can help.

Still can't connect?

  • Make sure your device's date & time are set automatically.
  • Try the other connection: switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or the other way around.
  • Some mobile operators offer security or "safe browsing" add-ons that can block games. Check your operator's app or account and turn them off.
  • Contact us through the in-game Support tab or the support page. Tell us your internet provider and the exact error message.

How to switch back

  • Android: Private DNS → Automatic (or Off).
  • iPhone / iPad: Configure DNS → Automatic.
